How to use the cable waterproof connector, Kaiwei Electric gives you a few requirements:
1. In order to ensure waterproof and longer-term operation, it is recommended to use double-wall glued heat shrink tubing and insulating bushing.
2. In order to ensure a certain pressure at the joint, it is recommended to add a sheath tube to strengthen the insulation and protection.
3. The self-adhesive tapes used (or heat-shrinkable waterproof tapes) are high-voltage products to ensure insulation safety.
4. During construction, it is best to adopt a staggered butt joint (that is, the cable does not need to be neatly cut and butted).
1. Normal installation process
After making the connection tube, wind it with yellow silk tape, the overlap width is half of the bandwidth, the winding length should exceed 150~200mm, and the number of layers depends on the voltage level. The outer layer is wrapped with J-20 self-adhesive tape, and the overlap width is half of the bandwidth. The length should exceed the yellow silk belt by at least 100-150mm, and the number of layers should not be less than 6 layers.
After three phases are done. Organize them into a circle, and then use self-adhesive tape to wind it into a circle as described above, and finally wrap it with plastic anti-wear tape, with a lap width of half the bandwidth and a lap width of half the bandwidth. The length should exceed the self-adhesive tape by at least 150mm, and the number of layers should not be less than 3 layers.
2. Waterproof treatment steps of low voltage cable middle joint:
1) After crimping the terminal, wrap waterproof filler around the terminal. Shrink heat shrinkable tube.
2) If it is a generally slightly humid environment, wrap waterproof filler tape on both ends of the cable and shrink the sheath tube (the two ends of the sheath tube must be glued).
3) If the environment is harsh, you must use self-adhesive waterproof tape to strengthen the waterproof (you can also use heat-shrinkable waterproof tape, we generally use self-adhesive tape, heat-shrinkable tape is used to repair damaged cables).
method:
A. After filling the waterproof filler, wrap one layer of self-adhesive waterproof tape or multiple layers of elongated self-adhesive waterproof tape on the outer layer of the filler, but the thickness should not be too thick, so as not to cause too much insulation tube sleeves.
B. Shrink the heat shrinkable tube on the rubber.
C. Wind waterproof tape on both ends of the heat-shrinkable tube, and then wrap a layer of self-adhesive waterproof tape, wind waterproof tape and self-adhesive tape on both ends of the cable insulation sheath, and then heat and shrink the sheath tube.
